Community land trusts

Resilience

Design for innovation

Current agitations

My postdoctoral work has focused on several areas. The main has been supporting the translation of the community land trust model of democratically-governed land stewardship and perpetually affordable housing into Australian jurisdictions. This includes moderating the growing Australian CLT Network group and running workshops with governmental, community and non-profit participants. Email me if this sounds like fun - I travel light.

The second main area has been an exploration of the applicability and potential of resilience, adaptive capacity and adaptive comanagement theory in housing research. This work earned me the 2009 Housing Minister's Award for Early Career Researchers - wahoo!

Lastly, but what's getting me all a-quiver, is a growing focus on design for innovation in sustainability, which will combine participatory GIS, design intervention and asset-based community development to research sharing in cities.

Go check them out. Guess where the links are.
